Yesterday there was a service outage on the popular social media website Twitter which affected pretty much all their 140 million + users.
A couple hours later…
Half notorious(in their family I guess) wannabe oh-s0-l33t-h4x0rz group UGNazi(who have previously done incredibly stupid things like attacking a war veteran support website simply to piss off another, quite clever I might add, hacker going by the name of th3j35t3r) shows up on twitter(ironic isn’t it?) and claims responsibility for the service interruptions with the proverbial “Tango down!”
My thoughts on UGNazi’s claims.
Now what I’m thinking is… –>
After their direct attack against th3j35t3r they literally received a bucket of cyber-shit(worth taking a look at, its hilarious) in the face (courtesy of, again: th3j35t3r) and went silent for a while..most of these recent “hacking groups” seem to be relatively stupid(boasting about their hits on twitter and blogs indicates the presence of attention-whores who’s parents are probably too busy with their career to raise and know their child properly) and thats why their average life span is of about 6 month and afterwards 90%(if not 100%) of their members end up in court to get a slap on the wrist.
Now my theory is that UGNazi has been trying to keep their twitter feed’s followers entertained because from my point of view they don’t care about knowledge, computers, hacking or what ever. They care about the fame, the attention and the (very small) power they get from it.
Networks like twitter have tons of address space and servers, they are not impossible to take down but c’mon guys Twitter is far up the scale compared to hacking religious websites and community services. I doubt that low level skids like these could cause such a massive service interruption on such a big website.

Not everyone likes th3j35t3r, some don’t agree with the whole “vigilante” thing. For my part, i’m neutral “I’m on nobody’s side because nobody is on my side” but you have to admit;
